hey just because you guys cannot pull off this look doesnt mean I can't, all I'm asking is, should the fedora be plain white or pinstriped? thanks

Screw it then, if you are going to look ridiculous, you might as well go all the way. Get the pinstripe one.

BTW, no one can pull of that look.

I will be picking up a pair of Daltons in two weeks (first paycheck of the summer icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif) and was wondering what the preferred color is on SF.  They both have pros and cons, the pros of the Walnut Daltons is you can see a lot more of the detail and IMO the patina is nicer.  The cons are they look a lot like cowboy boots (and I already have a pair of walnut stands that I wear casually).  The brown daltons are a much nicer looking boot overall, however, you cant see the detail as well and they dont have much of a patina.

I will be wearing these mostly in the F/W and maybe some cooler summer nights mostly with business casual clothes.  I will be wearing them the majority of the time with denims, chinos, and cords.  What color does the majority of SF recommend?

Walnut v. Brown:

The answer should be what is your preferred color, what you see yourself using more with the wardrobe you have. Enjoy...

I'd definitely chose walnut, I think they look a lot cooler when put to use compared to the brown ones:

I'll be attending a school upstate where the weather is notorious for being unpleasant & cold. In preparation, I am looking to purchase a inexpensive durable winter jacket. In addition, I would like it to be somewhat fashionable as I look to wear it long term. My budget would be around 2-300$. What can I get with that? Apc? wings+horns? norse project? other brand names? I know these will be a reach, just exploring my options.

I don't really know what style you want since there are quite a few alternatives if you want to look stylish in the winter, but gq had a quite round-up this winter which I think fit into the suggested price-range.

As many of you know, I've been trying to decide between Walnut and Brown Dalton boots.  However, I've come across a different issue.  Now I'm trying to decide if I should get the Dalton at all, or get the Alden 975 #8 shell cordovan longwing instead of the Dalton?  I already have the strands and fifth avenues so I was thinking a boot would be my best option, but I really like the alden longwings.  What would you all get?

I have contacted AE asking them if they can make me a custom pair of Daltons in burgundy shell cordovan to get the "best of both worlds" but if they can't, I have a dilemma.

1) A polo with chinos: tuck in or out?

2) A polo with jeans: tuck in or out?

Im thinking with chinos tuck in and jeans leave out but I am kind of unsure about what's approved here. I already know with shorts I will leave my casual shirts and polos out as I dont like the "golf look".
