They look like nubuck to me.

Reposting this from the Carmina sizing thread, as I only got one response (even though it was a helpful one).

I just picked up double monks on the Inca last, but I'm unsure of the sizing, seeing as this is my first pair of really "nice" shoes. I'm a 10D in Allen Edmonds, so I picked up a 9UK from Carmina.

The ball of my foot fits really nice and snug (seriously, perfect), but I'm getting the feeling that they're a tiny bit too big on the heels, especially on the right shoe. When I pick up my foot, my heel slips just a little bit, and I'm honestly not sure if that's supposed to happen at all. I took a bunch of photos and lumped them into an album, so if you guys could take a look at them and tell me what you think, I would really appreciate it.

The photos with the pen are for indicating how much my foot moves when I lift up my heel to take a step: The bottom of the pen points to where the top of the shoe ends when I'm not stepping.

Are these too big, or am I freaking out and being paranoid? Remember, the ball of my foot fits perfectly on both feet.

Cheers.

Note: I rolled up my jeans to get clearer photos; I have no intention of going full pilgrim with the buckles and high pants.

Slipping in the heels can be normal for people and can go away after a bit of wear. You can't return them so you can only wait and see.

I love this pair of Sutor Mantellassis http://www.amazon.com/dp/B004XNWKQC/ref=asc_df_B004XNWKQC1966527?smid=AZC8HL1C8PT81&tag=dealtmp601458-20&linkCode=asn&creative=395105&creativeASIN=B004XNWKQC

But my size is more a 12-13 UK so I can't gamble on buying that pair. Do you have some tips for other italian suede brogues for the summer?

Hello gents!

A quick question here:

this very dark blue (pinstriped) blazer with a blue/white striped shirt with that colourfull pocket square that picks up the blue and the red details in the shirt?!??

I am always gonna wear black jeans with this set to keep it casual!

Is it fly or goodbye?

I have another 9 days to return them if I wish to do so, since I've only tried them on while standing on carpet.

The dark color pallet might be a bit redundant, maybe some more contrast is in order? confused.gif

If there are pinstripes on the blazer too, can't tell from the picture, it would be too busy for me personally plus navy and black for me would be a no no too.

The SC and PS look fine but what's up with that shirt? Paisley collar interior, untucked with a pink?/red? hem? IMO it's the shirt that's goodbye. nod[1].gif

Depends on where you're going out to. If your objective is a club with dance music and poppers and lots of anal sex then it's a perfect shirt.

I think then you would need to make some life adjustments.

Any opinions on this jacket?  looks to be fused, and im not in love with the lining to say the least, but I am in need of a sport coat for business/casual use over the summer and beyond.

Thoughts and suggestions welcome, thank you.

Absolutely. Dark shirt with bold stripes and "unique" embellishments (contrast hem & buttonhole stitching, flashy collar lining, hell even the buttons are sewn on with contrasting thread).
