before and after tailoring
cleaning up the rippling in the body, a bit more waist suppression and made the jacket not open so much below the buttoning point

sleeves have working cuff buttons
i don't think the jacket sleeves are too long... but still the shirt sleeves do not show unless if i tug on them
i guess i will try with another shirt and see if it's just my shirt or if i need to shorten the sleeve a tiny bit

but... a question in general
how many think the shirt sleeve MUST show a bit past the jacket sleeve?

Showing shirt sleeves is a must for me. I get extremely self-conscious when it doesn't and I'll drag the shirt sleeves out every 5 minutes.

I like showing 1/4" of cuff past my jacket sleeve. However, I find it far preferable to show less sleeve or even no sleeve, than to show too much sleeve.

Your jacket sleeves don't look too bad. I wouldn't be at all surprised if the problem were with your shirt, and not your jacket.

this is very true.

will definitely try on a different shirt to make sure...
if it's the jacket ... then i guess back to the tailor it goes

What's the quality on Gant Rugger suits/jackets? Are the worth the price? From what I can tell they look like they are made in South America.

I like 1/2" sleeve, so I might be the wrong person to ask.

Guys, what do you think about this cape? The Sartorialist posted this picture, that means OBVIOUSLY it looks good and I should get one, right?? :eyeroll:

I think Doc is the expert on capes but that looks a little too short. Plus boots with a cape? shog[1].gif

Hi...I'm new here and figured this belonged in the quick questions.  Can anyone tell me if this Brioni tie looks real?  I took a picture of the back...it has the white numbers on the back but the other pictures I've seen of Brioni ties don't use a capital "D" but the weird "B" character right before the numbers start.  I received this item from an ebay seller with 99.8% feedback but just wanted to make sure it seems legit.  It had a Neiman Marcus sales tag on it FWIW.  It's self tipped and the fabric seems very nice but it is a bit thinner than I expected...the white box surrounding the Brioni logo has etching that pokes out on either side of the bottom of the box too...seems strange to do that.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

same here....of course you don't want too much, but at least a good 1/4 of an inch is a must for me as well. I'll only wear certain shirts w/ certain jackets if there is a discrepancy w/ the fits so I always have some cuff. btw...like that SC XKxRome0ox

OK question.... if it's literally impossible to wear a white tie (unless you're a waiter, gangster, or going to an actual white tie affair) why are there so many nice white ties out there? Someone just gave me a Brioni tie as an early X-Mas present...but it's WHITE! I'm like wtf am I supposed to do w/ this? Turn it into a thong/cock cozy to go along w/ my Hermes codpiece? Seriously? Can I "re-purpose" it into anything useful...ideas?

I recently came across a website called Luxire.com that sells dress shirts. I am interested to know has anyone ever done business with them and if so would you be willing to offer feedback on the quality.
