I am not opposed to MTM but I need it for next weekend and I dont want to risk a shirt not fitting and going back and forth with the company. I am not opposed to paying up to $400 for a shirt as long as I like it. Do you recommend any sites other than drakes-london for ties, I am looking for a thick quality tie with a little life to it.

Sorry, I'm not a tie big-timer. I wear a lot of thetiebar ties and whatever I bought for cheap off ebay and SF. I rarely wear ties anyway, so no point in spending a lot of money on them.
However, I bought two Cesare Attolini ties for my Dad from shopthefinest.com and they are amazing. Those 2 aren't thick, but they sure tie a beautiful knot and stand upright like no other tie I've seen.
Speaking of shop the finest, you should order some barba or faconnable shirts from there.
Also, try some fashion brands like Hugo Boss or D&G. They have skinny shirts available.

Linen. Fresco. Cotton. Tropical wool.

yes, I was looking for a shirt that does not have the typical collar.

That collar is called a cutaway. Recently spread collars have become more and more severe. However, this is definitely a cutaway. Here you have a RLPL Keaton pictured (I believe).

I know a leather belt must match the colour of the shoe, but what about the texture? Suede shoes match only with suede belt?

The color of the belt does not have to match exactly with the color of the shoe. You certainly don't need to wear a suede belt with suede shoes.

Questions on sportsjackets:

1.) How do I know what is the correct length size? I've seen people say that you should be able to clench your fist below the end of the jacket, or that the bottom of your thumb should be slightly above the end of the jacket.

2.)  How should the size of the sleeves be when you are arms are at the side? Can the sleeves be past the base of the hand? I find that some jackets of mine rest at the middle of the palm?

3.) How much should I expect to shorten the sleeve of a sportsjacket, by say, 1 inch? Is it unreasonable due to the cost?

1. The back of the jacket should be long enough to just cover your buttock, but not more.
2. Your shirt sleeve should just touch the base of the palm. Your jacket sleeve should be 1/4 of an inch shorter.
3. If the buttoning is not functional, and the arm is relatively straight, then there is no real limit on how much one can shorten. However, if the buttoning is functional, and the arm is not straight (says, larger armhole, but smaller sleeve), then you can shorten up to an inch. More than that everything will need to be redone, which, though possible, can be cost prohibiting.

How much is my black fleece shirt going to shrink? Its a reasonably heavy oxford cloth material but I've never owned any BBBF stuff so I can't guess at what will happen in the wash.

I bought a BB2 and a BB3; the BB3 is probably just too big but the BB2 pulls ever so slightly when my chest is expanded or shoulders are back. My breastbone sticks out a fair amount so I always get tight in the chest while still having lots flapping at the back...so I am not sure which to keep.

If it shrinks a fair amount, the BB2 will be too small while I can't see the BB3 fitting without a lot of shrinking.

1) Like onix said, except I'll add that it really depends on your body. If you have very long legs and short torso, you will benefit from a longer jacket and vice versa. The bottom of the jacket should roughly split your body in half. Look in WAYWRN and try to find examples of longer/shorter jackets and see how they visually make the wearer's body look disproportional.

black fleece is probably not the right size/fit for you then

never tried on a BBBF shirt but i did try on the suit
theoretically the BB2 should fit me.. but BB2 shoulders are really narrow
and the BB3 is just too big
so i don't bother looking at black fleece

Quick question. Can anyone please tell me how to post pictures in a classified, or point me to a page where they will walk me through it? I just posted two classifieds, selected pictures and submitted, but the pics don't show. There was a little "X" next to the name of each image, but I though that was for removing them from the list. Any help is most welcome.
