Yes, they do have the color spectrum I like, but they US based.

I should have mentioned that I live in Euroland.

A Fine Pair of Shoes has a very good selection of Alfred Sargent shoes and boots. You could look into Tricker's too. Both brands offer a made-to-order service if you can't find exactly what you want.

Lurker here ...

I have a pair of month old APC New Standards that are just stretching out nicely, they are my first pair of anything-near-nice jeans and on Saturday I dropped my new japanese kitchen knife and put a very neat 1cm slice into the inside leg around the knee.

Whats the best way to repair a very clean cut in denim like this?

You can try suddenlee.

Can someone recommend me a brand that makes quality chinos with buttons and slim fitting in the $100-200 price range. I am looking to but 4 new pairs and j.crew seems to be my only option. I like some that I have seen on mrporter.com but they have zippers or are in the >$300 price range.

Generally. Not at very conservative or formal occasions.

Ask the streetwear forum, they're the experts in this stuff. I hate the general aesthetic over there, but they do know about denim repairs.

Personally, I would back it with a chino type twill cloth in a rectangle, sew that around the outside, then zig zag over the cut closely to prevent fraying. Good old fashioned patching.

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/UNISEX-GLOVERALL-MUSTARD-DUFFELL-COAT-38-14-/280769405303?pt=UK_Men_s_Coats_Jackets&hash=item415f292177#ht_7926wt_952

From the button configuration, I get the impression this is a woman's duffle coat rather than a man's. Is that correct?

No, but it's definitely not a nice looking Gloverall

The colors are seasonal, they have all sorts of colors in the spring/summer. They were on clearance not too long ago. Not much you can do about the US issue though, other than proxies. Milanos show up on B&S pretty frequently.
