So I am trying to plan a trip for the spring. I was thinking Vienna since my old intern lives there and would know someone to show me around; but, then I decided I think I may want to go to Antwerp instead.
What's the weather like in April?
Any tips in general?
I like the look of Hotel Julien
http://www.hotel-julien.com/home.html

Would 4-5 days be enough?
I was thinking leave late Wednesday night, get there Thursday morning and then leave Sunday afternoon.
Aside from AA and Delta it looks like Jet Airways and Brussels Airlines fly direct from JFK to Brussels; but, some of them are the same exact times so I feel it might be a code share. But, what's the deal with JA or BA?

I just noticed that Jet Airways is Indian...I love the food; but, not sure I can spend 7 hrs surrounded by them.

Antwerp is an amazing city. Tons of life and lots of style. Don't bother with Brussles.

I like Vienna, but you will have more fun in Antwerp.

yup, you'll have fun in antwerp... the hotel is rather good, can ask around for the absolute #1 if you're interested, plenty of shopping to go around and 4 to 5 days would be plenty.

Why don't you expand your trip and see both?

If you go 5 days, you could take the train (45 minutes or so) to Brussels to get an impression of that city as well. Antwerp is a great city though, one of my favourites. I'm planning another trip again for december as well. Great for shopping, good restaurants, great people.

Maybe a short visit to the Netherlands would be interesting as well Socal.
Antwerp is the place to be currently in Belgium. Brugge is very beautiful as well.

'In Bruge' is an awesome movie. Colin Farrel is really funny and the backdrops are beautiful.

Antwerp is a great city. But if you've got 4-5 days, I would spend a bit of time in Brussels too. It's a very underrated place.
