Pretty sure it was around mid November, at least last year.

I talked to the Boston store. They said the sale will be mid-November again this year.

They tend to run pretty close together date wise.
The online IMHO does not have the same inventory as the stores.
Make frinds with a Sales Associate - they will look after you. I nornally get a 'heads up' call about 2 weeks before and get things set aside before the 'madness;.

Damn. My closest Ralph Lauren store is the Polo Mansion. I doubt they will "look after me" when there have to be multiple millionaires/prolific people that shop at the Polo mansion that these associates "look after."

They want your business too. Especially, if you're buying PL.

If you're not on the mailing list go and get yourself put on. Show up with the kick card when the sale begins and knock yourself out.

Wondering if I should wait for their sale to pick up a new solid grey black label suit or if I should use the current 30 percent off code.

How does one get himself on the list ?
I gave all my info (filled out their card actually) to a young broad working @ the Newbury store back in June, but never heard either from her or RL.
Though I'm told she's still with the company.
Am I expected to spend X-amount of $$$ @ Polo before they'd acknowledge me ?

You might want to take advantage of the sale now if you could use the suit in the meantime (before mid November). Typically, RL semi-annual sales are 40% off most items, with an additional 15% on the first day of the sale. However, in sales past, Black Label has only been reduced 30% rather than the 40%. I think ultimately, it's a question of need/timing. You might get lucky and get a better deal a little later or perhaps score only as a good a deal as you could get now. Lastly, the longer you wait during the semi-annual sale, the lower the prices will go. It is all dependent on the retail climate preceding/during the sale. Obviously this fall is going to be a doozy for the retail sector. Case in pt, I scored 2 RL Black Label suits for less 500 each last year between sometime between Christmas and New Year's. But this summer's semi annual sale never saw the sale Black Label suits go below upper 600/lower 700 (at my local RL store).
