How does the sizing run on these? Since its stuffed with down, its hard to make sense out of the measurements.

True to size usually, and measurements can be found on oipolloi and ebay. They're not meant to be fitting jackets though.

That tag doesn't seem to have changed much over the years, except for small cosmetic changes to the script and sheep. Maybe you could identify the general time when it was made by comparing them to the tags shown on ebay? Edit: Here are a few on ebay.

Robin, the jacket was new, sold at a store that also carries EG.

i'm sorry i don't have pics, but that's how a john rich & bros' tag looks like: actually this is a tag of some past collections, the new one is similar but not the same. the paper tag is this, although i think this one is a fake (woolrich, pennasylvania?), mine is a bit different and better made: these are some really crappy pics, tho.

Does anyone know where I can get the 1972 model online?

All I can find on google are what seem to be scams.I've seen a lot of them on ioffer and aliexpress but the poor English in the listings, Chinese location of the sellers and "too good to be true" prices makes me suspicious. I also came across this site, which looks legit but then I noticed that shipping is faster within Asia than within North America. Seeing as how the US mainline version is made in China I could believe they might be the genuine article but I can't see why made in North America parkas would be sold from China. Similarly, I saw a listing on ebay with a Canadian seller, that used photos of the 1972 model but said it was made in China. They haven't moved production of the high-end parkas to China have they?
