I fail to see how politics has anything to do with this topic.... Sure we could go down the road of pointing out the countless conservative leaders (both political and spiritual) who preach one thing and then get caught with mistresses or homosexual lovers, or at swingers clubs.... but that would be pointless wouldn't it? TieCollector, really all your are pointing out is that you have no idea about who is involved in the "swingers community" and instead make sweeping generalizations but the truth is, from my experience it's probably people you would least suspect. Want proof? Pick any traditionally conservative city/town of your choice from the deep South to rural midwest and look up their Craigslist Casual Encounters section.

I almost hate to do this because it's so petty, but you don't even have to look to CL, just to the GOP. Plenty of casual encounters there.

There is a school of thought in sexual psychology (and it's not really foreign to laypeople) that says that the more restrictive your upbringing, the more conservative your roots, the more likely you are to engage in alternative, kink, promiscuous relationships. This may help explain why the brunt of sexual scandal seems to be borne by the Christian Right.

It also could be simply because it's more fun to point those particular scandals out.
