Those look very nice, stitchy.

Curious why you chose button fly. IME, it just makes it hard to relieve one's self biggrin.gif

Buttons are indeed awesome, but I have a pair of buttonfly jeans and it just annoys me everytime I go to the little boy's room. Beautiful pents, though.

eds calls them custom, i think that is a good term. i gave him exact measurements, he sent a pair for fitting. we tweaked, and then sent the finished product.

i guess is pricing is no secret, but i dont want people to think im gauche, if they dont already that is. PM me.

took a few months, totally worth it. have not tried on yet.

yea that's MTM not bespoke. bespoke would require him cutting a whole new pattern for you, and not modifying the existing measurements.

A pattern has been made for mr. Stitches. The try on pair that he mentioned were not some pre made pair, they were the first fitting of these. We then adjusted the rise and some other things. There was no limitation on what we could have made. I don't call them bespoke because I don't cut them or make the pattern but this is not MTM

thanks for clarifying, ed. i think your word, "custom," is perfect.

while im here, ill say the following. i just tried on the pants, and here is my review.

1. the process - could not have been more smooth or customer friendly. ed answered more stitch PM questions than stitch posts. always timely, with a clear answer, very patient and funny too boot. he gave me updates as things were going on, and i never felt i was in the dark about the status of my order.

2. the quality/construction - these are the nicest, most well built pants i have, and i have borrelli pants, zegna pants, kiton pants .... and these are as good or better than them all. very solidly built, top notch fabric, exceptional attention to detail and all the bells and whistles when it comes to finishing. and at a price that is FAR less than what one would pay for pants from the aforementioned brands.

3. the fit - not much to say here. they fit me better than any pair of pants i own. period. from the waist, to the butt/hips, down the legs to the leg opening and the length. all spot on. its hard to say anything looks slimming on me, but these are damn close.

in short, buy clothing for ed if you want awesome gear. or be a loser. your call really.

thanks a mil, ed, you have outdone yourself.

My sister just arrived from Vegas and finally I can put my hands on these. They fit invredibly well! I thought that maybe they would need a trip to the tailor to take a bit excess of fabric, but not at all fit perfect, and the fabric feels so soft, dammit, seriously I have the biggest smile right now! biggrin.gif
