Just got an email from Bontoni...shoes are shipping Feb 10th from Italy. Hope to get them in the store by the 25th and then on my feet soon after.

So ill throw it out there. Inbound soon

Thanks! She is going to kill me as she is not into expensive jewelry but the ring really is a necessity in our social circles. I didn't go crazy with it--about the price of a two-year-old Honda Civic.

Dinner reservations at Vetri's which is one of our favorite restaurants here in Philly. I will make sure to order the wine-tasting menu as once she gets to her 6th course with the accompanying drink, she will say yes to anything

Hell no! We are going to do something small and discrete. We are not into "weddings".

 

Good for you.  Eight years and three kids later, I vacilate between fondly remembering our wedding and thinking about all the other ways we could have used the money spent on the wedding.

Congrats! We did the same, very small destination deal in our favorite place in Mexico.  Wasn't expensive, we actually got to spend time with the people we care about, and everyone had a nice little vacation.

Second...we live in two different worlds The ring my GF choose for me to buy (thought that was best) probably wouldn´t buy you a 20 year old Honda Civic...haha. She had the chance but didn´t take it, quite some guys in the shoe and clothing industri is very happy about that
