Thanks, AmericanGent.

Mandelli makes tremendous outerwear and is coveted by many outside of Italy/Europe. It's next to impossible to find it in the States. "THE" grail quilted jacket that so many here and elsewhere have drooled over is a Mandelli. Derek wrote a nice piece about their quality and craftsmanship here.

I'm not a fan of black outerwear. Especially when it's leather. However, I assume the quality of the leather and design are just as great in this jacket as they are in many others.

Does this seem worth it for the price ($1600), or is this a rip-off for this quality?

I love Mandelli, but there's definitely better looking stuff out there.

Mandelli is definitely the shit. I'm still kicking myself about not buying the gray version of that quilted jacket when it was on Yoox this past summer.

It must have started today because i´ve been to the site everyday the last week. There is a ton of stuff left, i didn´t buy much. One tie, and two Fairisle Knitted Scarves (one red as a gift for my girlfriend).

I think i might have a problem. They make a shorter tie which is great for me. Problem = $$$$$$$$$ Which i do not have enough to buy all the ties on their website.

Amazing feel and ties a great knot. love love love

Vanda very quickly became my favorite tie maker (no hate on Ed or David). Enjoy them.

I will more than likely wear tomorrow. I am fearful as I may enjoy them far too much. I was already looking at 4 when I placed my original order then decided to try 2 before i took the plunge.

Yeah, but there is something about that black coat I like.  Do you think the black shearling is worth it though, for $1600?  It's Mandelli quality (Assuming Mandelli quality extends from their grail masterpieces to their other stuff such as this), but I like the simplicity of that piece.  I love their quilted jacket, but unless you want to go for that Italian sprezz gent look, you will have a hard time pulling off something so noticeable.

I am also tempted by this jacket, for the same reasons.  Simplicity.

Thoughts?  Should I cop?
