tegs, you have an uncanny knack for focusing on the negative, was that really all you could think to say after seeing those 3 shirts?

also, aside from the golden fleece line, which i dont think has OCBDs, or even slim fit anything, last i checked, all the BB shirt buttons are plastic, they do a fine job.

BB Country Club line has non-plastic buttons

Edit: and slim fit shirts

indeed they do, i forgot. quite nice buttons as well. i have 2 older ones, but they fit like tents. i just checked and did not see any OCBDs in the CC line.

also, while i certainly agree that the BB regular bottons are nothing to be excited about, they make for a great workhorse OCBD, and that is exactly why i got a few. sure id like nicer buttons, but for the price, and for what i think i will get out of them, i think they are A-Ok.

thanks for the rec, and the correction.

I like the shirts Stitchy, though how many have you collected at this point?

thanks, tits. too many, and yet not enough. in the recent weeks, 8. blue is my new color for shirts. i think 2 more solid light blue, and i will be ready to peel back on the shirts.

pants, i have a pair of brown flannel pantas on order, and that should round out my pants collection.

good on SCs. good on ties.

could use a blue suit, but thats not a dire need.

have a solid shoe selection.

thank g-d, and thanks to a lot of help and good advise from the kind people here, i think i really have got a solid foundation for my wardrobe. i hope at this point, i can take a break from the heavy purchasing, and limit myself to extras on occasion, not weekly. we will see how that pans out.

Black Fleece has OCBDs with MoP buttons.

That first Barba looks nice.

yeah, i have seen a few at NMLC, but they dont fit me right, and im not gonna dropp 200 buck on a solid OCBD. i really should have clarified my previous statement, instead of just making a blanket assertion out of laziness that was wrong.

what i meant was, i wanted a few workhorse OCBDs in white an blue. something i could easily wash and not have to dry clean in a pinch, and would look good, and be a good shirt to have in the closet. BB was my destination. BF does not fit me quite right, i dont like how the button placket stops early, and is way to much money imo at full retail. CC i kinda forgot about tbh, but dont recall them having OCBDs anyway. so i decided on the plain jane classic BB OCBD. the only slight back-draw, the buttons are not drool worthy. outside of that, great looking shirt, solid quality, good and fair price. that was what brought me to my purchase of those 3 shirts. (the other 2 were posted earlier)

maybe that is clearer.

also, thanks, that is my favorite of the 3. smile.gif

Dude, you and me are shirt brethren. Brooks for more casual button downs, Barba for dressier shirts icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

STF link to the first one? Is that cotton linen?
