Thanks, ID. I really like them. What I don't like, is that my ankles are having a fight with the top edges of the shoes; those are a bit thicker and stiffer than on my C&J Tetbury's. I hope I'll be fine after some effort (and pain...). I'll report back in a few weeks, if you're interested.

Pics dont really do this justice.

Quilted (on the inside) Luciano Barbera windbreaker type thing. Have had my eye on it for a while, finally caved.

I got their classic "Khaki", the oxford "light gray", slim "stone" and a classic navy in donegal wool. I've tried Epaulet, Howard Yount, and Panta, but these fit better, surprisingly.

Have you tried using a meat tenderizer? On the suede or your ankles, your choice.

Hey guys. I just drove down to LA and picked up a new car.  I saw this as an awesome opportunity to stop by STF and see Ian.  If you haven't had the chance, Ian is a great guy and I would absolutely recommend checking out the warehouse, it is unreal!  Some purchases below:

Brioni shirt from a few days ago, just got it back from the tailor to get some darts put in.

700

Two Borelli shirts, X-Slim fit, AWESOME quality

700

700

Suede Santor Mantellase shoes, I loved the color of this particular suede, plus the simple toe.

700

I also picked up a Kiton purple/grey cashmere sport coat 38R drop 8 that I am having the sleeves finished as well as the sides taken in just a touch.  Will post pictures of the SC as soon as I get that back from the tailor.

Shop The Finest.  shopthefinest.com If you want to schedule a warehouse appointment the information is on the home page at the bottom, Ian is quick to respond.  A lot of Borelli/Barba/Finnamore shirts, Antollini Cesar, Kiton, Borelli suits and sport coats and some other goodies.

lol, fair enough. i find for me, that SCs and jackets are the hardest things to photograph well. its a shame, it really is a lovely coat, doest show fully in the pics.

i need a mannequin, like malford and spoo.

im just not a fan of quilted jackets just as in the bay area we dont get cold enough to need anything like that. I wish it did get cold to wear them then I could see how that would be awesome.
