Girlfriend just picked these up for me over the weekend. She knew I was dying to get some boots for the fall so she got me a nice pair of AE malvern boots. Can't wait for them to get in

Thinking of your style/wardrobe, NOBD, I think you'd get most use of out either the Lennox or the Kempton. Personally, between those two, I think the Kempton looks nicer.

Thank you, Holdfast. I ordered the Lennox today. I like the lower shaft and two in stead of three pairs of eyelets. As I said before, Lennox with Dainite would be ideal for me, but that wasn't an option, so I went for the model/shape I liked best.

Malverns are great. I just exchanged my pair of pebble leathers for the same brown calf you have.

Great boots.

Looking at the C&J Brecon now as a second chukka nod[1].gif

^ I could certainly see getting the Brecon as my next (4th) chukka :-)

Long time no see, aj_del. Took me some time to decipher that sentence, but I get it now. Good tip, but too late...

I am around but my interest in clothing has receded quite a bit. Haven't bought anything in the last six months. Frankly, I m totally tired and bored of thinking of clothing. This summer, I wore he same liGht blue shirts (of which I have several) all 5 days of the week for six straight months matched with the same grey trousers. I intend to do something similar in winters. Tthinking of clothes, matching this and that is for women, I have decided.

Have you seen Sartoriales eBay page. Dude has one shirt and one tie and he puts on a mannequin with all the suits he sells. Not one combo looks bad. Seriously thinking of getting 8 light blue shirtsidentical shirts and 4 identical dark blue ties and be done with it. 4 mid-grey suits

I won't say that my interest is clothes is dwindling. If anything I am getting more into details. But I think that's at the heart of it. Less emphasis put on collecting or purchasing and more put on refining simplicity. I agree with your point on shirts. I'm trying to get down to a closet of 10-12 shirts, all versatile and all fitting well.
