Malford, very nice color. Is it cashmere? How does the quality/fabric rate IYO?

It's actually lambswool. My knits are full of greys, navy and brown so it's nice to have a more interesting colour.

Ballantyne stuff is very nice. They churn out some *very* odd stuff now and then.

Some of their recent items include a double breasted cardigan (try to imagine that if you can) and a cashmere crewneck with a full body cricket scene in bright colours.

I know their retail prices suggest that the items are of high quality, but I've read a few places that their quality and craftsmanship has taken a dive in recent years. As is the trend with most all the Scottish makers. Glad to hear they still have some good offerings. Might have to give them a second look.

I've handled a few Ballantyne vintage knits and the material has held up very well.

I'm not sure what direction they are heading in at the moment. Some of the designs are completely at odds with what the brand should stand for.

In any event, great pullover. Wear it in good health.
