I understand their cashmere is quite good (some of the last remaining decent fibers readily available) and that their 2-ply is actually closer to an Italian (read: luxury) 4-ply. It's nice to hear that their wool feels supple and substantial.

All and all I'm quite intrigued. I also like the range of their melange color palette. Might pull the trigger on a blue and purple with a little extra texture.

Last question: How does it fit? Couldn't get an idea of whether it is baggy or tight from Mr. Gilchrist's responses.

Gant tweed. Although I'd never wear it in that combination (unless I was slightly inebriated).

With a check country shirt it'd look good in that combination.

Well, supple isn't the right word, I think. Substantial, definitely. With old-fasioned I meant a bit rugged. I don't mind that at all, but if you want cashmere buttery soft, this is not the right sweater.

Thanks for the insight, NO. I have a couple sweaters on order from Avon Celli that I think are going to fit the "smoother, Italian" cashmere feel. I was looking to Lockie for a rougher-wearing cashmere that could take a bit of a beating. I have a slightly wider frame than you, so I don't think sizing should be an issue for me.

Indeed I did. I was more interested in fit, construction, etc. However, if a company takes pride in spinning high quality yarns in one product, then the quality likely resonates through their offerings (especially with companies that only manufacture one type of good). I assumed that a positive review of one of their sweaters (regardless of material) was a good indicator of what to expect from all of their knitwear.

I'm probably returning it, btw. I think I can get a better fit; I want to try an S in stead of an M. I hope the shop can order it for me.
