Well, it's a good idea if you're unsure about the cardi and have a need for those other v-necks biggrin.gif

A personal note on knit colours: I've come to the conclusion that I only really like dark blue/navy or silver/light grey. Charcoal is too glum for me and while I can be attracted to pretty much any shade of blue I find I never really reach for the lighter ones. So I get my crew necks, v-necks and various cardigans in dark blue and light grey. I realise this will be much too limiting for most, but I find a nice reassurance in knowing what works for me. It also helps with keeping the hoarding somewhat in check wink.gif

in stitches if you paid retail for those you should return them both. jcrew knit quality is poor, and only really worth it at like 60% off. for the price you paid you could pick up some much nicer stuff.

i am unsure about the cardi. at present i have no wearable sweaters, so we can assume i have zero sweaters right now. that being said, im not sure its for me, or how much use i could get out of it. its a bit too obvious to wear too much. would elicit the, "dude, why do you wear the same sweater every day?" comment i think. whereas the v necks are more innocuous and could be more versatile i think, like under a SC. if i was more of a jeans guy, the cardi might find more use.

also, i think i really liked the beige better, but i do feel it has a "old mannish" look to it. which leaves me slightly unfulfilled either way. but i really do like it on me. im confused on the beige atm.

as to gray, the next color v neck i was considering was a mid, almost light, gray.

and lastly, knowing what works for/what you like best, is hugely important.

Same here. Bought a navy shawl collar cardigan yesterday which fits in with my other navy cardigans, v-necks and crew necks and my grey cardigans, v-necks and crew necks and my chocolate brown cardigans, v-necks and crew necks. Works for me. nod[1].gif

Don't have any pictures but I recently bought a lightweight v-neck, 3 buttons, cardigan in royal blue with white piping. It looks great with a white polo neck jumper white/cream sta prest trousers, or even PofW checks and desert/chukka boots.
