Where's that suede brush?

I use a regular brush for suede, btw. LCA has decent brushes for decent prices.

Shall I keep them?

I found someone selling some NOS Ralph Lauren luggage that was made in England. I'm looking for the rest of the set, though it will probably be a difficult challenge. I have managed to piece together half of the 1980s tartan set for my wife. It seems to be easier to find those pieces new-old stock than the black canvas. Someone on eBay is usually selling an unused piece of the blackwatch at any given time.

Any ideas on the maker that RL uses for their luggage?

I don't know man, these things just don't look very comfy...thats what i liked about the VB, they were short enough but still comfortable. I have a few other pairs, Acquarosso and an Etro that are pretty short, but again, comfortable to wear. I wore my blue ones today and liked them very much... +1, no need to shell out lobb money for a suede brush, unless you are a hopeless brand whore, imo.

A bit despondent over the loss of that coveted Functionally Illiterate demographic, but life goes on... a few small-timer pick-ups:

450
Some beater suede loafers for summer...

450
What's more small-timer than Zara? Zara on sale...

450
...and a lightweight sweater from the Black Fleece sale.

How is Zaras quality anyway? A way better then H&M?

Well, it is a lot better than H&M, not that that's any sort of major achievement. That said, I have a Zara sweater that I've worn 3 winters and it still looks new. My experience has been that as long as you don't buy anything made from a crappy polyamide blend or acrylic you'll do OK.

The polo sweater in my photo above is cotton, but as it was I think $26, I don't really need it to last forever.
