Not a regular contributor to this thread, but I thought these were appropriate:

J Crew Linen, Robert Talbott BoC x2

J Crew is linen, and the BoC are wool/silk blend. Here are some close-ups on the BoC since the fabric is awesome.

Finally picked up finished product, and tried on with the bow tie. I'm still not very skilled at tying a bow tie, however...

1 button Sartorio tuxedo, black grosgrain lapels, black grosgrain covered buttons, black grosgrain trouser piping (? Strip of satin between piping??)
Cufflinks are double sided smoke pearl & silver from Paul Stuart, purchased a while back
Isaia blue-black grosgrain tie, recent find at Saks

August 28 black tie dinner, I'm ready!

That is a braided grosgrain trim.

@The_Foxx those are some serious lapels. Overall looks fantastic. My couple Qs: I can't tell for sure from the pic, but appears your jacket sleeves are a tad long or your shirt sleeves are a tad short. Also, in the first pic, the bow tie looks too small, but looks good in the third pic. Nothing worse than a small bow tie. Which pic is closer to IRL?

I need to go pick up some dress shirts. I had custom made for me. A bit worries about one of them. I decided to experiment and ordered a brown and white gingham dress shirt with white collar and white cuffs. I also purchased a white linen pocket square with brown trim and a solid brown Tom Ford tie.

The combo will either look fantastic or terrible.

Thanks! Not sure on the bow, again my bow tie tying skills aren't very good but it is a standard size. When my arms are relaxed at my sides, shows a 1/4 inch of cuff, may have hiked up a bit in pix tho

Belvest SC, cream and brown shepherds check.
Fabric tag says 80% cotton, 20% cashmere, but with the 80% cotton struck through with a light blue pen. The hand sure feels more like cashmere than cotton.

Loro Piana Roma Jacket
One of these jackets in size 50IT was recently listed on B&S. I was considering buying the jacket, but by the time I contacted the seller it had already sold.
During a eBay sweep last week I came across the same jacket in size 52IT, new with tags, for 135 GBP.
Works great with a chunky sweater or a SC underneath, I just need to shorten the sleeves a bit.

I love LP outerwear, but it is highly unlikely that I'll ever be able to justify the retail price, so each time I'm able to get my hands on a piece on discount I'm quite pleased.
If I could just find a Roadster Villa D'Este in navy cashmere at a steep discount I'd be set for all seasons. biggrin.gif
