Much appreciated @TM79. Looks good on hanger. Would enjoy fit pics.

I dropped a suit off with him recently to be tailored and picking up this week.

Saw these Sutors hit on Shop The Finest and had to grab 'em. Looks like a nice, mid-brown, less formal alternative for the stable.

Very nice Razl. How does their sizing run? I have been keeping a close eye on a different pair of Sutors from STF.

I only have one other Sutor purchase, again from STF but from, hmmm, 3? years ago - the short answer is that they were true to size but a super supple, almost glove soft leather boot. Given how soft they were I think could have sized down slightly on them. That said, I've worn them in rotation for 3 years without once actually thinking "I should have sized down", so I'm probably over analyzing a bit.

Better pix of recent purchases - great time in NYC last week, Saks the clear winner with 25% off everything in the store thru the 28th, with extremely few designer exceptions (David Yurman was the only one we encountered that was not included; Corthay and Santoni were died among the 25% off participants, etc)

Phineas Cole Manhattan model med gray trousers, slim with 2" cuffs;
The perfect blue cotton pant, PT01;
Greenish olive tie, gift from friend to wear with navy or blue suits
Solid, simple charcoal suit (shoulders need to settle down after a few wearings)

(
to wear with a khaki jacket)

)

I've always been curious about this last and am wondering if you could take more pictures of your pair. Any pictures are good... looks like a great brand.

Could you compare the sizing to Carmina Simpson last?

Sorry but I (sadly!) don't yet have any experience with Carmina. That's something that needs to be fixed... Still, when I post some pics I'll report back my sizing findings in relation to what makes/lasts I do know; stay tuned...

Thats the charcoal?? Looks really sharp as usual. How do you like the Phineas Cole stuff? Always considered it but I know nothing about Paul Stuart other than rumors of tradition quality, no real opinions.

Is there a bespoke tailoring thread??...kind of like the one for bespoke shoes only?

This is a photo from my final fitting of a new bespoke sport coat. A few final adjustments to the waist of the jacket and now the functional button holes will be stitched...by hand ofc...and horn buttons sewn on. The pocket with the piping is a sunglasses pocket that was crafted to hold the sunglasses but not show that they are in there when the jacket is worn. The fabric is a spring/summer weight loro piana cashmere. The lining is silk. It has the traditional English ticket pocket...I was debating patch pockets but since I went with a full lining to try and get some use in the fall I went with the ticket pocket. The tailors are Turnbull & Asser.

Nice jacket. Kinda like the lighter blue, though I'm not sure I would opt for that color in Fall/Winter -- strikes me as a decidedly warm weather color. Horses for courses.

Out of curiosity, why did you go with a silk lining? I understand the novelty of it (a la Hermes scarves for linings) but silk doesn't hold up as well as cupro and is notoriously iffy for linings. If this is your tenth jacket (and the fabric may be an indication of that) then I get not needing a harder-wearing material for the lining, but I am curious.

Raz, these def worthy of repost. Great looking shoe and interested to hear how they polish/ take a shine. What color are the soles of these shoes?
