is that bag/umbrella/PS all in one?

Close, plus gloves. At dinner. Only one of the items is new.

i guess bag or umbrella.

Bag looks like it has a few scratches and some loose threads, everything really looks new though. I'm guessing gloves or ps. Btw, wish I could keep things I use as nice as you apparently do.

Thanks. The bag is 25+ years old. Close, but still off. I'll post real photos tomorrow.

Doesn't the lack of love tend to revolve around the fact that at retail, Church's tend to be a little more expensive than similar options?  I have a pair of post Prada Diplomats that are very nice. I got them new but at a discount.  At full retail I'd probably save a few bucks and buy Carmina.  Nothing wrong with new Church's at all though.

Could be wrong, but thought it had more to do with the decrease in price/quality post the acquisition.

I think Prada also changed the Churches' lineup/materials/design quite a bit; with some not-so-classic changes that a lot of long time customers feared would devolve into it being just another fashion brand.

I got these at steep discount at a Prada outlet. They're 100% Churchs (the Niton II model, I believe) but in a pearl gray "fume" leather that I understand was introduced to Churchs by Prada and disliked by long time Churchs fans. The glossy, some felt "plasticky" appearance of the fume was perceived as tacky and a sign of worse things to come. At least that's what people told me at the time (I was a noob and was taken by the color and mini-brogue'ing)

(they were too large for me and I ended up selling them, more pics here: http://www.styleforum.net/t/279738/2-21-drop-new-slightly-imperfect-niton-ii-us12-by-churchs-of-england-for-prada-in-dark-pearl-gray/0_100)
