They look magnificent. But, what is the buckled "apron" across the vamp called? Is there a term for that or this style of shoe specifically? I'm just not familiar with it and would like to know.

I've seen where Edward Green refers to this as a kiltie.

Thanks! I've seen similar on a regular loafer but never with the strap (does that make it a monk?). Combined with the chiseled toe and brogue it's a whole different animal. I didn't think there were any shoe designs left to surprise me, but here I am.

You've got yourself quite a specimen there - wear them in good health! And, I for one would be happy to see more pics - especially in action!

I finally got around to buying a Barbour...

 

 

Went with the Beaufort Classic, and sized up to make sure I could get it on over a sport coat.

I'm really happy with the "Sylkoil" finish - it already feels and looks broken in, and hopefully it's only going to get better.
