Thanks in advance for any wisdom you can offer me.

Eveybody here goes through what you're going through. (I still am smile.gif) Spend some time reading old threads and the new ones. Read the cloth thread. Some of the "higher end" suit names use fine wool like super 130s or higher. Those cloths feel great, but are not practical for workhorse suits. To get a workhouse, and considering your budget is that robust, you could talk to Kent Wang or edmorel about their mtm programs. Be aware that online mtm can be difficult to get right. again, research and reading is your friend if you have a little time. Depending on where you live, several tailors that are viewed favorablyl travel and you may find investing in a suit made for you to be a better investment than buying the name brioni (Gordon yao's prices are in your ballpark for example). Just a thought. If you haven't tried the famous names on, like brioni, go to a neiman Marcus if there is one near and try them on. The fit may be good or not. It'd be a shame to sink 2k into a suit only to discover that you don't like the look in the mirror.

Since I broke my aviators, I have been on a sunglass streak. All are Persol and photo-chromatic, except the RLPL. A few may end up pon B&S. Pants are BBBF and Corneliani

I went out shopping tonight for some pants, however the only ones I found that I liked were just a touch small with no room to let out. Because of this I decided not to compromise and didn't purchase anything. I say this because I don't think I've seen this version of events in this thread.

Then I got home and bought some cool stuff from shop the finest.

Took a quick jaunt up to LA to check out Epaulet's SM location. Very happy to have them here in So Cal...my first chance to handle and try on some Carminas and Vass in person. Definitely makes me feel better about my sizing choice for the group MTO we did on the Skoak shell jumper boot and those Vass....excellent quality and finishing. Looks like they'll only be carrying F last, but it looked quite nice next to my St. Crispin's I was wearing. So I picked up the Navy Donegal Walt trousers and quite happy with the color and fabric...perfect for my upcoming October trip to London/Paris.

And then I stopped by to visit STF on the way back to the Orange Curtain and did some damage. Pleasure visiting with Ian Daniels as always.

Barba, Borrelli and Finamore...

Thanks G. I really like your glen plaid Corneliani trousers and I'm always a sucker for Persol. Cheers!

I try. Sometimes at least.

... And after stf, I also bought stuff from Vanda and Kirby. Next week should be pretty interesting.
