Nice catch. I'm thinking it's a suit (first pic looks like there's trousers peeking out at the bottom); if you got a striped odd jacket I'm retracting my congratulations. Just kidding

Would you happen to know if the canvassing can produce an "ungluing" sound I've encountered with this item?
I'm pretty sure I know what you're talking about, but I'm no expert. My sense of it, when it separates easily but has just a little bit of pull accompanied with a fine sort of separating sound, is that it's just the body pulling off the canvas. If the canvas is made of horsehair or something similarly fuzzy/rough? enough, it will tangle - almost like velcro - with the outer layer. That's my sense of it anyway. So, generally, if the "give" is gentle and doesn't feel like it's permanently separating the two, I consider it just some canvas-to-body separation. If it really feels like it's disconnecting/tearing/pulling-apart two pieces, then it's probably fusing. Oh, that said, maybe even fully canvassed stuff gets a light "glue" between canvas and body just to help secure things a bit (though not to "fuse" them).
I hope that helps more than confuses. Maybe somebody with more hands on experience can educate us both
Thank you for this insightful reply, Razl. The separation is more on the "lighter" side, than on the "tearing". Well, I'm bringing the jacket to the atelier to extend the sleeves a bit, see if they can quickly open the lining for me to see whats going on inside. Will get back to the forum with this info.
