I usually get some good cardio and a mild leg workout when I play basketball.

i would be careful doing deadlifts. unless your form is very very good, it's an exercise that just begs for an injury to happen. i know every exercise requires good form, but in my own opinion, deadlifts are very technique sensitive and you could risk injurying your back.

i like squats, step ups, and especially plyometric exercises such as skipping, bounding, sprints and box jumps.
