Ha! Yeah, Chipotle is really tasty but it comes at a price. If you can deal with the lack of tortilla their burrito bols are actually a pretty healthy option, especially if you skip the rice and just go for fajita mix, a few black beans, and whatever meat you like.

CrossFit is a pretty intense workout and most people who do it do the Zone and see really great results. There are affiliates in most major cities and even smaller ones. Just check out the site for more info.

To tie it back into the origin of the thread, it really helps to have real food (not vending machines) with you during the day. I've been lucky enough that my job is at a big company so it's not quite as obvious that I'm in the kitchen three times a day whipping together food. It's definitely cheaper and healthier, too, as I'd go broke trying to go out and grab something three times a day. Did it for a while but then just sucked it up and started going to the store on Sunday and then carrying it into work on Monday.

Bringing in a tub of protein and a shaker works well, too. Get some milk from the drugstore or vending machine, throw in a bit of protein powder, some oatmeal, and olive oil and you've got a great meal replacement.

I could never go to chipotle for a healthy meal. No chance.

I miss the diet days. I cant wait to start my next diet. Are you constantly hungry on the zone diet?

I eat a big shake in the morning; steel-cut oats, flaxseed, protein, and then either some fruit or yogurt in there too.

In the morning I have a double espresso.

Before lunch I usually have a couple handfuls of unsalted nuts or Whole Foods cranberry trail mix. I get my fats in.

Lunch is typically a salad with chicken and no or very little dressing.

After lunch, 2-3 pieces of fruit.

Perhaps another handful of the trail mix before going home, then I work out.

I guess I have a pretty vicious appetite compared to you guys.

Balsamic vinegar is your friend. 10 calories/tablespoon. Are you on a cutting cycle or a bulking cycle? Or are you just maintaining? That diet does not seem to crazy compared to my past diets.

Um, 25 blocks on the Zone Diet is roughly 3000 calories. And I'm losing weight on that. ;-) Granted, I'm 6'4" and 245lbs and would easily wolf down 5000+ calories when I was on the Starting Strength program.

As it stands right now, just off the top of my head I'm eating five eggs, 2 pounds of meat, two bags of veggies, 4 pieces of fruit, a quart of milk, three handfuls of almonds, and various amounts of peanut butter and olive oil each day. And that's on a diet.

We have a refrigerator and stove in our office, so it is easy for me to keep fruits and vegetables around. I also keep a lot of low calorie frozen dinners and cereal bars in the 90=150 calorie range. It gets me by.

I realize that I'm really lucky and most people can't do this.
