I'm not in favor of younger men wearing tasseled loafers, but I don't have a problem with Aldens on a youger guy overall. That said, I think that certain more fashion-oriented brands and styles look better on young folks than older folks.

I'm 26 my first real shoe was an Alden Long Wingtip Cordovan Leather Color 8.  My second pair was a tassel loafer and I love to pair both with Jeans.  Tassle Loafers are in! Even GQ posted a review on their favs.

its not the shoe but the outfit. i think its perfectly fine to wear some aldens as long as the shirt and pants dont scream old man style.  For example, wearing flat front pants and a good fit shirt with aldens is fine for someone in their 20s but i would cringe to see a younger person wearing tassell loafers with pleated pants and an oversized shirt
