I almost stopped in there on Friday; in fact looked down the street and didn't see any ready parking -- then my wife led me to other adventures...

Thanks for posting this and thanks to Charley for putting up the stocklist.

Gentlemen,

I expected better. After all the phone calls on Saturday I expected all the famous sale shoppers to descend on my close out of Edward Greens. I received a total of two emails since my post detailing the remaining shoes. Is it just the mystery you guys really like? Once I laid down my cards the calls stopped. Is it the great deal of the unknown that gets the Styleforum going? The mislabeled shoe on polo.com that just maybe, could be a fabulously discounted pair of Edward Greens?

Anyway.....Just wondering.....

I only have eight or so shoes left......

Charley, if you'd had my size, I would have been all over it. Trust me.

Also, if I may speculate, assuming that what you have left are the loafers, there's something of a dearth of loafer wearers round these parts.

PM Sent on the Black Chelsea's Charley.

Also, Charley, you seem to cater to hulking behemoths and Sasquatches. If you had 7.5's in stock -- and not those huge British 7.5's, but a decent, modest Amuric'n 7.5 -- those of us of restrained foot sizes would have had your phone ringing off the hook.

Maybe you should try Brooks Brother's "Boys" collection.

+1. By the time I saw the PSA, only loafers were left. I've passed up on $300 NIB Lobb's because they were loafers.

Hilarious post. You nailed us Charley. We thrive on mystery sales, mispriced items and assorted internet scams.

Seriously, did you expect a stampede over a few Chelseas and a couple of loafers and opera pumps?

yeah, different stock would have been nice.

If only that were true. Just because he didn't have fairy shoes doesn't mean he was catering to behemoths. They were all too small for my dainty feet.

Really, Don't feel bad, black color, loafers, opera pumps, and lack of sizes all contribute to decreased interest.

What? You mean you guy are not elegant and sophisticated enough to appreciate something as beautiful as a pair of anachronistic formal footwear. I guess I will just have to try over at the London Lounge........

And the Piccadilly is the perfect shoe the wear with a nice pair of fall corduroys'.

And for goodness sakes the suede Buxton was the house shoe of the Duke of Windsor.

What is with all the loafer hate?

Anyway I still have a few shoes left. I will not make the mistake of telling you which ones..........

Brilliant marketing strategy. Good luck with that.
