Oops. I originally wrote that Luv It and All Star Donuts were on or near Maryland Pkwy. It should have read, "Oakey Blvd." Sorry about that. I've corrected it in my earlier post.

Hope you have fun, P!

But don't forget, as my dad taught me, "They don't build those things to give away money."

Of course, they do (or did) give out half of what they take in.

Just got seats to see Blue Man Group. Row F, center stage. Perfect seats for this IMO. It is the first row outside the "Poncho" section (meaning you get wet) and the seats open directly to the the aisle that runs parallel with the stage. 10p seating Friday night, so we have time for a nice dinner after getting checked in, the show, then a late night stop somewhere.

Ideas for a late night glass of wine in a decent spot?

It's for people with disposable income.

I just finished cruising Rosemary's wine list, as it's 50% bottle night on Sundays, the day we'll be there

There's no pricing on the internet list, but I see at least 10 bottles that I own, so I'm sure I'll get some tasty stuff.

There's a lounge/bar in the Venetian, might just check that out Friday night after the show. OTOH, we have this huge suite, and they're only on the upper floors. We booked a view room, might just order some cocktails and desert to the room and look out the window. We often like to end the night when traveling, having a little room service with cocktails.

Has anyone been to the Double Helix?

If you're still looking.. on Saturday night, try David Burke in the Venetian. The food is incredible... or go across the street to TI and dine at "The Social House." ... very good Asian cuisine.

Mixx at "THE Hotel, as others have said, is fun.. they have an outside balcony on about the 64th floor looking down the Strip. A slightly older crowd so you don't have the young 20 somethings stumbling over everything.

Tangerine Room at TI has some of the younger set.. but not as bad as Pure or Rain or places of that ilk.

Thank you sir! That fits in perfectly for Saturday night, since I will be the only haole in the group. I think I will suggest The Social House. That added info about Mixx is good; I think we will try and get in Saturday night.

I need Sunday morning breakfast recommendations. On or near the Strip, we're headed to Primm's after breakfast. Not a buffet, and we'll have an eight year old with us.

My grandparents really liked The Wynn's breakfast when they were there (this was early 2008).

Actually it may have been Bellagio's buffet.

Have Sunday breakfast/brunch at Bouchon in the Venetian. In my opinion its one of the best places for breakfast/brunch in Vegas.
