I don't even think they really wash fruits and vegetables all that well from the farm up till the grocery. And chemical residues might still be there on the skin.

I can see your point though, presumably you are buying it at 7-11 because you are on the go...

Whats better, washing an apple in the gas station bathroom, or not washing it at all?

I don't mind all the smut that gets on the apple from circulation as much as all the fecal matter that gets on it from customers touching it and stuff especially after they use the restrooms that have no soap.

I try to wash all produce,and if I am unable to actually use water,I make sure to rub off whatever might be on it with a towel.
