Eww, don't wear cotton at the gym, it'll get soaked in sweat. Synthetic or wool.

I was looking at those for the gym as well but didn't want to pay their prices. Something similar for under $20 would be grand.

Not after shipping and taxes, and with J.Crew's problems right now they're probably not even in stock despite saying so.

I'm a synthetic guy myself, but some people swear by wool for warm-weather hiking, so I figure it might also work in the gym.

Why don't you just buy a pair of $10 Target sweats and cut them yourself?

Just buy ADIDAS mesh-type shorts. Really good breathability and they are light, perfect for gymming. Also, not too short so you don't look like a creep, but not so long that you look like a ghetto streetballer.

i got plenty of mesha nd other synthetic type gym shorts, i am really sick of them and want to try something new. The fleece style seem like they would be a great alternative but the only places I have seen decent looking ones are J crew, A&F has some but of course they are long and baggy and have A&F plastered all over...

The present JCrew offering is quite similar to the cotton fleece workout shorts formerly offered by Champion @ $12 a pop! Last time I saw those (about four years ago), it was in Marshall's for $7. I bought the last two pair they had in my size. These days, it's on to the micro fibers!

The best workout shorts/gear to buy is Under Armour, their stuff lasts a long time and it's comfortable.

yea except ********* basically shows when you are working out at the gym, atleast in my case. All those 'dry fit' material shorts (basically what all UA are made of) really outline my package when I am trying to work out. And as proud as I am of it I dont exactly like it to be showing while I am trying to do flyes.

I don't get the dryfit/spandex ones. The shorts to buy are the UA Blitz shorts, they're made out of a cotton blend. They're very comfortable. (and they don't show the package lol)
