The net is not a terrible place to determine what is trending, especially if you look at a variety of different platforms (Styleforum and other forums, twitter, tumblr, etc...) Also, last time I was in NYC, their prime real estate at The News had been usurped by White Mountaineering. Take that fwiw.

Yes. When he first started, nearly all his production was domestic, and much of it in San Francisco, iirc. In he past few seasons, most of his stuff has been made in Italy, and his distribution increased signficantly.

Kimmel also participates in fashion week abroad. Loden Dager is still around but if more than five shops carry it I wouldn't know. They were in the Vogue/CFDA thing last year and still do shows for fashion week (why?). Shipley and Halmos went the right way by becoming smaller, moderately lifestyle based, and mainly selling through online channels such as their website.

BoO and Rag&Bone went ahead and focused on womenswear. Can not blame them as they do well in it.

I first looked for Ervell stuff during the 2008-9 end of the year sales, I think Blackbird had already dropped him by then, OC and NDG didn't have online stores, OiPolloi might've had some stuff. I think the last collection SW carried was Fall 2009, I remember trying (but ultimately failing) to secure the Spring 2009 harrington during SW famously stressful online sales and I also remember the stock pic of the fall 2009 navy fairisle (forever tainted by Gilt later in 2010).

Yeah, my wife just bought a Boy blazer from Nordstrom on discount and it is her favorite one already. It's still too damn expensive but the fit is just right for her. I will only buy from BoO when the item and price is right, which explains why I only have 3 pieces from them.
