+1, except for the assumption that he ever had friends.

What do my friends have to do with the original subject? If you want to talk about me make a separate thread or something; it's better than polluting every existing thread with meaningless catty gossip.

Cortisol has almost nothing to do with exercise duration and there's way too many variables to say that working out over a longer period of time increases cortisol levels enough to hinder muscle growth (assuming that's the goal in the first place anyway).

Fucking annoying "why" arrogance! Goddamn. It never ends. Are you now saying that extended lifting sessions are not or can not be detrimental?

It depends on what you mean by 'extended'.

Let's drop the argument and help answer my question.

If I'm running in the morning, what should I put in my stomach so as to allow for fat burn but retard muscle deterioration?

Is it a healthy dose of L Glutamine? I'd prefer to not take any additional synthetic supplements. I already use two proteins when necessary (whey and a soy/whey/casein compound).

BCAA. I've used Scivation Xtend for this purpose, and it's worked pretty well. 2:1:1 L-Leucine, L-Isoleucine, L-Valine. + L-Glutamine and Citrulline Malate. 2 scoops before, 2 scoops after.

Running first thing in the morning on an empty stomach is the best way to burn fat.
I will just drink a cup of water (not too much as that will give me a stitch) and take a dunk and away I go to the gym. Once you start running, the hunger pangs will go away and the fats will be burnt.
