Ebay issues - am I the only one?

Welcome to the club. They place lots of limits, and one of them is when you list too many items. Yes ebay is awful.

that's some fucked up shit,I recently won an auction and wanted to make a payment (it was a considerable amount over $1k) and PayPal (in collaboration with eBay) put a restriction on my account and didn't allow me to pay with my credit card.I called both eBay and PayPal and while they recognized the problem,they didn't do anything to remedy it.I had one option,which was to pay from my checking account (which i didn't want to due to protection purposes).
eBay and PayPal are getting more and more ridiculous, not to mention about their fees.

I'm getting tons of offers on items from bidders who are all outside the country and refuse to pay. I've blocked buyers outside the US, but they get through somehow.

I keep getting these broken English responses: "dear mark, it has been come to my attention that you are not a man of your word and that you do not sell to buyer unless he knows them. you will get what you diserve."

Of course Ebay will not involve itself.

My paypal a/c has been blocked for over 2 months and attempts to resolve has been insane. Even after I provided all the requested info, I was advised that it was insufficient and they kept the block on my card.
Attempts to speak to a supervisor has been an absolute exercise in futility.
Google check out and money orders have become my preferred mediums.

I hate paypal. their rules and service are horrible. Getting ripped off via paypal is still pretty easy and they really don't care. http://www.paypalsucks.com/

It's no longer easy be a hobby seller on ebay. They have so many asinine rules now and their service is almost as bad as paypals, and then more fees...

Uh, I'd also qualify as a "hobby seller" and I like eBay just fine.


I've run into the "selling restriction" once, and that was a weekly posting highly populated w/ "designer" goods (Gucci, Armani and the kind). Just waited out the 3(?) days period.


My fees have actually decreased recently, thanks to the improved PowerSeller discount and smarter listing (I'd like to think).

They don't even have a way to block messaging from specific members. A guy harrassed me for weeks sending me redundant idiotic messages. No way to block.

You wont be so happy when you have a buyer make a chargeback after you shipped the goods to him. Then you will be starting your own thread

ya i have had those problems for the past couple of months. I am surprised you got a hold of anyone, I have yet to talk to anyone besides on the "live help" link (which is also a joke)
