recrafting shoes from England

All the posts about English shoes has made me consider getting shoes from there. My concern is recrafting. A pair of Aldens or AE's can be racrafted and as long as you take care of them last for a while. My questions is can the same be said for English shoes? I can imagine it being quiet expensive to do if it is. I figure its agood investment to have if you are going to make a substantive investment in a pair of shoes. Thanks for all the help. I look forward to the day were I can offer advice to other forum members.

Find a good cobbler -- a welt is a welt. That said, I'll probably only give my Edward Greens back to Edward Green.

They can be, and you should give our service a try. We have been recrafting shoes since 1909 in Atlanta and are one of the few companies AE will do recrafting aftewr we have done in future needs. We still have the recrafters that do the work by hand and actually take pride in their work.

No, we can do the heel counter liners as well, the only part of the shoe we cannot do is the forward part of the shoe, the vamps inner liner etc...but we can repair the heel cup liner, but understand it will often add a bit of tightness to the shoe until you have worn it a little.
