Hail to the Redskins! (2008) - Page 6

I'm simply not sure how the Redskins are doing so well this year. I mean look at their QB; Jason Campbell and what he did last year! When did Moss become such a fantasy stud who is CONSISTENT and how did their D get so good so quickly? On the other hand, did anyone see the Mayne Event yesterday? Hilarious!

Yuck. I had a sinking feeling before the game started that something like this was going to happen. Since the last Superbowl-winning team from the 1991-92 season, the Redskins have had a bad habit of playing to the level of the competition. They rarely blow teams out and rarely get blown out themselves.

Redskins are doing very well so far this year. We'll see how things turn out for the rest of the season.

PRoblem with DC- fucking insane fans. Went 4-1 and assholes are doing everything they can to not mention the superbowl, instead of taking it a game at a time. Now the team loses in an upset and now everyone is talking about the team being shit. MAybe it was simply an upset and the team rallies and beats the next two teams? Sometimes shit teams rise to the ocassion and beat a really good team. Some times really good teams are not so good on one weekend and lose to not so good teams. Take it a game at a time folks.

I'm from DC and I haven't once heard "this team is now shit" comments since the Rams loss. Most fans around here are reasonable (if not a little homer'ish) and think that we'll rebound in good fashion.

The fanbase you're describing sounds like Philadelphia...who are the worst fans in the league. If not in all of sports.

I'm sure the Cowboys are willing to part with Pacman if the Skins are interested

FWIW, I'm not worried about the 'skins. I think we'll be 'in it' at the end.

"If hemlines go up as we move into an election year, or if it is a good year for Bordeaux wine, or if the National League wins the World Series, the Democratic candidate will win. When hemlines fall or stay the same, or the Bordeaux vintage is poor, or the American League wins, then it is a good GOP year. The best predictor though has been whether or not the Washington Redskins win their last home game before the election. If the Skins win, then the incumbent party tends to win. In fact, this indicator has been astonishingly accurate, getting the wrong result only once, in 2004, in the last fifteen elections." Steelers come to town for MNF (11/3). Thoughts?

SO excited for Skins-Steelers. It is going to be a bloodbath of a game. Skins win 17-13. BTW, each time the Giants have won the Super Bowl, the Skins have won it the next year...
