Woman who are into sports - Page 3

Australian weightlifter Erika Yamasaki:

I love dating girls who rock climb. It's convenient to be able to combine spending time together with my hobby and makes the climbing more fun. If only I could figure out how to pick up girls at the climbing gym...

It's definitely a turn on when a girl is somewhat into sports, playing and/or watching them. I don't want anyone who'd be playing in fantasy leagues or anything like that, but at least know the basic rules and a couple stars and is willing to join me at a game is great, because it sucks when you are with someone, getting into a game, and you look at them and know they're thinking "God, I wish I was anywhere but here." As for playing them, I don't want anyone who is a super ex-jock, but I like to go out and play a little on the weekend, something like tennis or badminton (yes, I'm in China), and if she can hold her own (or at least come out and try), that's definitely attractive.

Depends which sport. I generally like sophisticated, elegant and feminine women but do like that they are capable of some type of sport every once in a while. My girlfriend likes to swim, which I think is fine. She isn't fanatical or anything. I don't think I could take a girl who is fanatical about any sport. Some other sports would not find unattractive for women are: equestrian, rhythmic gymnastics, diving, field hockey(?), soccer (?), synchronized swimming, tennis, golf... I don't like women who look a little rough around the edges or have been in the sun so much that their collagen levels are dangerously low. Anything remotely close to tomboy status is a no go. I don't like to talk about sports really, so if a chick tries to talk to me about them, it's a no go. If I talked about make-up and the latest fads in Cosmo, do you think a chick would be attracted to me?

Couldn't you fill in the blank with any interest? Then whenever it's something you like, it's good; when it's something you don't like, it's bad.

I don't like women who are into sports, because I'm not into sports (much). I like women who are into musical theater and antiquing. Like my wife.

The worst are women who pretend to be into sports because they think you want them to be. I saw a lot of that when I was single.

It's obnoxious when a girl will root annoyingly for a team they know nothing about, but is saying "Go Eagles" because they think guys will like her for it. Or says they "love basketball" but get a blank look in their eyes when you mention a zone defense. If you don't know what you're talking about, just shut the fuck up about it already. Don't tell me that my college football team is going down this weekend when you can't name a single WR on the team your supposedly rooting for. This goes for guys too, but it strikes me as more disingenuous when girls do it.

you remind me of this:
