Just got out of the shower--looks like I should have closed up the MacBook! I think Genevieve has disdain for the Internet too, but that's exactly why she likes to go on!

Thanks, Lasbar. She has a great personality, too, and follows me all around the house. Apparently, that's typical behaviour for a British Shorthair.

I have two cats, adorable, good fun to be around ....and so much easier to take care of than dogs. I like dogs, my sister had a black lab that I would look after often in the past, but they seem to need much more attention.

And they stink...

Gotta be honest, I find it hard to respect a man that has a cat. No idea why I feel that way, I just do.

I enjoy both dogs and cats (although I generally don't find those small, fluffy, white dogs very appealing), but I find that the personality traits of cats suit me better. I don't have much desire to own an animal that sits when I tell it to, or comes every time I call their name. I like the independent nature of cats, their laid back style, etc. I also enjoy their cunning, predatory behavior that has remained unwashed from "domesticated" cats - as they are apex predators everywhere they exist in the wild.

I love both too..

Cats are more suited to my lifestyle...

Dogs need too much attention and time I can't give them at the moment..

Cats often say funny things (albeit unintentionally), and that helps to raise my spirits. I've never heard a dog say anything funny.
