I think I'm too much into this threak - you guys are seeing my true colors as being a 70 year-old woman trapped in a man's body.

Why is your cat in the sink? I originally thought you'd named it Papichulo.

Cool looking cat. Why are they called the "dogs of the cat world?"

Our old cat, Igor, used to play fetch with us; and now our newest cat, Jack, plays fetch at the age of 6 months. We've trained one of our girl cats to lay down and high-five with treats of roasted chicken.
Why would you train a cat to play fetch? This seems to be counter-intuitive.

You throw a toy mouse or something else and they will run and catch it and bring it back. I guess they just like the chase. That being said, they will also entertain themselves with just swatting the toy around.

I figured it went more like this: You: Ready? Cat: Looks up You: We're going to play catch. Now, when I throw this (you point at toy) you go get it and bring it back to me. Got it? Cat: Still looking up You: Ok, here we go....FETCH! (you throw the toy) Cat: Runs to the toy and grabs it in its mouth You: YES! Now, be a good cat and bring it back to daddy. Just pick it up in your mouth (You put one of the cat's other toys in your mouth) and bring it back to daddy. Cat: Now rolling around on the floor scratching the crap out of the toy You: Ok, yes, its a very fun toy. But you're supposed to bring it back here. (You pat the floor a few times.) Come on now. Cat: Drops toy, looks at you for a while, and walks off in the other direction You: HEY! Where you going?

Extremely affectionate. Will follow you from room to room. Fetches anything it can fit into its mouth. Tough as nails. This particular cat attacked a power drill while I was using it. Fearless. I have a second floor open to the first floor and the cat leaped from the railing to the floor to get at something. Twice. Growls when it hears a strange noise. And cool colour that matches my house. lefty

I heard that they can be cranky. Crabby Abby, is the technical term, I believe.

^ I like an animal with spunk. This is my first and has made me rethink cats.

Yes I had a cat last year, Zhejiang boiled hotpot style, served with cabbage and lotus roots. They really love cats in Guangdong province, where I'm heading for the summer. I've heard the best cat though is done Pyongyang style.

Used to foster cats for the local rescue home, just taking care of them until they found a permanent home. We had something like seven cats between August and February. Would upload pics, but I've not got the time to be resizing them at work.

First one was pretty badly behaved. She would attack our feet at night and if we tried to shut her out of the bedroom she'd tear the carpet up. Cost us about £300 from our deposit when we moved out. She would play fetch though.

Then we had three pairs of kittens. The last two were incredibly cute and we'd loved to have kept them but they were adopted after only 5 days. Their pictures were up on the website for about an hour before we got a call.

Anyway, we've now moved in with the wife's parents so we can housesit for them while they emigrate to France and we've got two black fluffy ones to take care of. They're about 8 years old now, one very big and one very small. The small one is the killer though. She'll bring in squirrels and parakeets that are nearly as big as her.
