Salon or barber? - Page 3

I use a salon. I used a barber for years and never found one who could consistently give me a good haircut. At least every other time I got my haircut there was something off. I tried a salon before my wedding 7.5 yrs ago and I have been going there ever since. I never leave with a bad haircut. $30 plus tip

I always went to the cheap hair cuttery type places until February of this year, when I decided to try a salon. The stylist at the salon paid much more attention to detail than any other hair cutter I've had. After going to the stylist I started getting compliments on my hair that I had never gotten before. So it's salon for me. It also helps that the salon is 2 blocks from my house and is a reasonable $35 per cut.

My barber of 30+ years retired last year- he gave me my first haircut so far back i can't remember exactly when. Drove me crazy until I found another great real barber shop that's almost a duplicate of the old one, down to the dark green vinyl and pitted chrome on the chairs. The real ones don't get much press, at least where I live. $15 for a great cut, straight razor if you like for the neck, all the real stuff. I miss the shoe shine guy from the old place, though.

I've always gotten better haircuts at the places I've paid more, so ever since I grew my hair out past a buzz cut it's been salons. Mine smells great and is a really relaxing experience on my lunch break. $30 plus a $10 tip. A great haircut is priceless.

Salon. My stylist cuts my hair according to my facial structure and hair texture and density. It's worth it. A barber well, is a barber. My dad goes a barber. Generic.

Nowadays I get my hair cut at a salon, my hairstylist used to cut my hair when i was a lil kid. I'm pretty pleased with the results, have yet to find a stylist who can cut my hair this well after a few years of looking around elsewhere. Not exactly cheap, at $720 HKD after the discount, but i try to go only once a month.

I go to a barber. Cheap, good location, the people know me well and they have decent magazines. Also, it means that when I feel like it, I can also have a straight razor shave.
