Office Plants

Any of you have any interesting ideas for specific plants or ideas for potting them?

I have my own office with two large tinted windows(don't open) that both have stills, lots of desk space and a bookshelf. I like to keep everything put away so things tend to look a little bare and I'd like to brighten things up with some color and life.

Good thread, I've been wondering about this also. Most indoor plants look dreadful.

I had a plant or two a few years ago but later got rid of them. Travel, vacations, and intense workloads kept me from watering and caring for them. They ended up looking horrible so they went away.

I have pretty much given up on plants. I seem to be really good at murdering them. The last plant I attempted to grow was a little kit one of my vendors gave me (with their company logo on the pot). It had some kind of grass seeds or something. Lived about a week.

I have two okay plants in my office, but provided by a coworker. I don't know what they are but they do a decent job of providing humanity to my office. They are low maintenance (once a week watering).

I got a banana tree. I've never watered it yet it manages to survive somehow. I suspect the cleaning ladies at night water it.
