That was an excellent read, thank you.

Mishon - I'm pretty sure the answer is to up your billable rate to compensate for time spent browsing men's fashion on the internet.

I will propose this idea to the equity partners this afternoon

Excellent article. I wish Manton would do more of these.

Will have to read that at some point. Got Manton's book last week but been busy studying so only read maybe 5 pages of it.

He uses big wurdz and fancy schmancy writin'...

I liked the subtle, "brown is for farmer" reference at the end.

The book. Then I came to SF and read the interview!

Is it possible for one to OD on manton? So far I seem ok...

Perhaps because our formal writing styles are similar.

Bravo.

I am holding my vertical of Harlan Estate for you (2000-2004). Only caveat is you have to bring the NYC SF, AAAC, LL posse with you to drink.

When can I make a reservation for you in our private dining room (max 12)?

Lodging accomodations are available at Chateau Hudson down the street.

Yeah, I was thinking that I'd read this quite a while ago as well. But then I'm getting old and sometimes the brain doesn't always work that well.

Thanks guys.

I sat for the interview in January, and it came out (I think) in March or around then. I was very surprised when I was approached to do this. I always thought that the world's only other Machiavellian dandy was Harvey Mansfield, but apparently Bruce Cole is an Italian Renaissance scholar and also a sharp dressed dude. He found out about the book and wanted to do this. I was immensely flattered.

The actual interview transcript is much longer -- we talked for nearly two hours -- but they cut it down for space. BTW, I did mention SF, but that got cut. Sorry, j.
