Or at least a beer, maybe a sniff of Scotch? Sheesh.

Had a friend who fasted but had a few beers after the fast was over every night. I think he was a conflicted izlam. He also engaged in premarital forbidden stuff, even the stuff that went beyond holding hands.

I wanted to continue lifting during this time. I would exercise in the evening when I can consume water during and food after the workout.

Is this a good idea or should I avoid working out? Should I just do my best to cram as many calories as I can before and after the fast? Any tips or advice anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys.

What you need is a good beating. My advice to you, were I so inclined , would be to tell you to stop being so stupid.

Omar, the fact that you're limiting the timespan that you eat within doesn't mean you need to cut your calorie intake and whither away. Treat Ramadan as an intermittent fast and you'll be just fine and can continue to make gains. A couple of others have posted the link to Berkhan's site. I'd also suggest reading through the IF threads at Lyle McDonald's Body Recomposition Forums (registration required) where Berkhan has also been active.
