First Day of School - Page 2

try something revolutionary, like wearing your underwear over your pants

Man, i've been doing my best to be stylin' the first 3 days of my new grad program but it's so hot and muggy out. I walked from the building to the main part of campus which is quite a trek, and i walk to and from school from my house. The amount of swamp ass if astounding.

OK how about this:

Take 2-3 of your button down shirts, and cut them down the middle of the back, then stack all 3, so they'll flow like a cape. That'd be fucking sweet.

It wouldn't be as bad if i didn't have to sit in those terrible plastic desk seats for my 3 hour block classes. I might stop trying to get my steez on for awhile. I think i need more casual dress clothes for teaching though. Can't let the high school kids or their teachers be stylin' on me.

I didn't get laid for a while too. That was because I was fat, not because I was dressed badly.

My advice is to lose weight.

Wear skin tight high waisted jeans with a gingham check button down and carry a flask in your back pocket. These things tend to work, but then again all my franz could be dumped in the "hipster category" or perhaps the "scene kid" category. More importantly don't try to walk through the school like you're the shit because your wearing a sweater in summertime, girls may think it is rather odd.

Whatever you do, just don't associate yourself with the "skaters" or "preps" or any of that junk. I think it's a little unnecessary and kind of stupid. And don't look too out of place. There's nothing like being the only person in the school who buttons up their collars all the way or tucks their shirt in. Not that it's a bad thing. Just don't make it seem like you're cool because you can do that. If I came off a little rough, then I might've done it on purpose. But only so you don't look like a tool.

I don't really.. associate myself with anything. I just dress how I want to dress. As for being cool? Nah. I won't play that card.. Maybe the "better dressed" one, considering that 99% percent of my school only wears a-fitch, hollister and american eagle.

And, Ha. Now, I have this memory of this really fat-kid. He came into school wearing all afitch, american eagle, and every single day was like "Oh, look how hot I look." - I wanted to say, so badly, "Kid. You're fat. Get over yourself."

Now, back to what to wear - It's suppose to be 77 today. I'm more than likely going to wear jeans - I hate shorts - and so, let's see if I can bear a sweater. But, does a brown + dark wash jeans resemble a.. snickers bar? Haha.

I think you'd look really sick if you could work 2-3 ties in to your look. Like a tie as a belt, and maybe one wrapped around your upper thigh. It'd send the message that you're edgy. If girls see that you're willing to break sartorial rules, they'll assume you'll be willing to break many others.
