Are you serious?

Was at the gym today, doing my squats when in my peripherals I see this fellow walking around the bench, long greasy hair, about 22 - the typical frat-guy. Those are a dime a dozen in my gym, so he's not a rare species. However! This particular specimen was wearing sunglasses on his head. In the gym.

I had the urge to walk over to him. I don't usually judge people on how they look, but this was definitely the mark of a jackass.

And you're so high class for starting a thread about it.

Like wearing sunglasses inside (or at night)? Or they were just perched on his head?

Unless I'm doing something like hard manual labor where they're likely to come flying off, get crushed by a hard hat, or meet some other unfortunate demise, I always prop my sunglasses up on my dome.

That way they are readily accessible if I need to make an exit (too much direct sunlight on a high UV day will begin to blind me really quick), they're harder to lose, and they're less likely to get destroyed by a pocket, bag, or locker crap.

I was hoping someone could give me 1 good reason for doing so.

It looked like this:

And, come on: in the gym?

really? that's not worthy of a thread. it's not even worth a second glance. let the man put his glasses on his head.

I've seen dudes wearing sunglasses in the fully functional position at the gym. C'est obscene! I assume they are either trying to look "cool" and/ or meet some ladies. Or trying to make sensible people like myself furious.

maybe his workout buddies pressured him to work out when he was in a rush to go do some errands or something, and he complied and stopped by the gym and he had his keys and wallet in his pants and his sunglasses on his head.
maybe he was just putting in a 20 minute quick workout and out he goes. maybe he forgot to take off his sunglasses and was inconvenienced to go back down and open his locker. without the truthful context you cant say he is a jackass.

Sunglasses on my head or inside my collar annoy me. If sunglasses are needed outside, I don't even bother taking them off inside anymore.

there are women in my office who wear their shades on their heads whilst seated at their desks. I look forward to firing them once I find adequate replacements.

One gym I was at before had some kind of insane lights, plus a few rather massive skylights. I had to wear my sunglasses inside, otherwise my eyes would be watering obscene amounts within a few minutes.

Were they particularly fancy sunglasses, or the type with retardedly large designer labels on the side? That's somehow what I suspect they were, and said individual is just a chode for that.
