McDonald's Southern style chicken

I've never had Southern style chicken, so I wasn't sure what to expect. That said, it didn't live up to my expectations. It was really plain. Also, for 3 bucks, can't they put more than 2 small pickle slices on each sandwich?

Why the hell would you eat anything from McDonalds

What surprises me is that McDonalds isn't actually as cheap as people make it out to be. I thought that, for fast food, it was the epitome of cheap. Some burgers cost something like $3-4. Not that it's expensive, but if I wanted to spent $4 on a burger from a fast food joint I'll go to Burgerville.

We've had this sandwich here for over a year - I think we were a test market.

It's McDonald's version of a Chick-Fil-A chicken sandwich.

It tastes OK, but you definitely have to add mayo.

You had high expectations? From McDonald's? A chicken sandwich? Really?

Exactly what I thought, it tastes a lot like a Chick-Fil-A.

I actually kind of like it....but I'm likely in the minority.

Actually, if you look at what I wrote, I said I didn't really have any expectations, and somehow the sandwich still didn't measure up. It can be tough to disappoint someone that isn't really expecting anything, but somehow, this sandwich disappointed me.

I like Chik-Fil-A's version much better - and CFA's grilled sandwich is a far better option than the fried version anyway.

I had a coupon to get it for free. thankfully I didn't have to pay for the experience.

The original Chik Fil A version does not use mayo either. There is a toasted bun, 2 slices of pickle and a splash of butter.

The idea is that the flavor is in the spiced, fried crust of the chicken breast.

I have tried both and I think the McDonald's version is fine. But I think it tastes better with the english muffin bun, instead of regular bun.

It's pretty decent as a breakfast sandwich inside a biscuit. Although the idea of chicken for breakfast is still rather strange to me...

i find chick fil a sooo overpriced and overrated. never sure why it is so popular around here.

Ya, I can get better meals from a local diner for a dollar or two less than chick fila, and it tastes better to boot. Not to mention at chick fila you have to pat down the nuggets/strips or chicken breasts with a napkin because they are so greasy.
