Do You Like My New Brioni? - Page 3

As an addendum, I am interested in purchasing vintage Brioni items. The crazier the better, but only in sizes 34-37. One of my biggest eBay regrets was not bidding on a vintage hummingbird blue Brioni 4x2 double-breasted suit with matching fabric belt, and in my size too.

There used to be an older Brioni script than the current one. If I can dig up a photo I'll post it in the next day or two...

No, sorry. But glad you like it.

I like it, but it all depends on the fit. It needs to be slim to look good because of the slim lapels. If it fits too loose then it will not look good.

LK, nice jacket, and a great find. I look forward to pics of you wearing it. The items you mentioned wearing with the jacket sound like a very nice combo.

LK,

You might be in luck. I have a vintage Brioni suit that is very small in that size range,

It's not real wild but I'll take some pictures for you later.

I'm with my personal trainer now and I can't miss that.

Love the fabric but I am not sure on the lapels.

Don't forget to grab a pair of these

^ I am smitten with those shoes, where can I get some???

Nope on the jacket. If you're into collecting weird and wonderful vintage brioni, I'm sure it's great, but if you wore it today, it would just look funny.

Nice color! I'm also interessed where I can buy those shoes?

Well, Good news and bad news, LK.

I do have the vintage Brioni suit, but it's bigger than I thought, and probably wouldn't fit you..

It's marked a size 52/42, but I'd say it's closest to an American size 40.

Note that I'm wearing the suit in the last picture. I've lost a lot of weight The suit is a 2 button with a single vent and patch pockets. Flat front pants too. Really kind of cool, though I'm afraid it would be too big on you.

Rnoldh, That's a shame as vintage Brioni appears to be somewhat more difficult to come by. I can't quite see the last picture clearly, but I suspect that suit would fit you well. The fabric reminds me of a Domenico Spano suit I own. Here's a crazy vintage Brioni:

Vintage Brioni is a trip, esp from the 70s.

Here is a post with two of mine -- one with narrow lapels and one with wide ones. Both are a eu 50 us 40, and for me me me.

I remember there was an Italian ebay seller who was selling off NOS Brioni. Amongst the things was a pair of crazy pink leather go-go boots, for a man apparently.

I think the color is ok but I guess I don't like the design much. But I'm happy for you you like your new Brioni
