Just get a cannoli at both Mike's and Modern and decide for yourself. They're less than a block apart.

thanks for the suggestions. Will check out Little Italy. Any fun places to go in the evening for live music? might check out a cigar bar too.

Tour Fenway, sip scotch at the Top of the Hub, smoke cigars at Stanzi de Cigari, catch a Celts or Bruins game, meet Cougars at Clink, 20/30-somethings at Alibi, or college girls at the BHP...

It isnt like there is one hot spot for live music, depends on the weekend and who is playing where.

Wallys on Mass Ave is a great dive bar with really good jazz played for free by Berkley College of Music students - 7 nights a week. Scullers and Regatta Bar in Cambridge both have top national jazz acts.

For Rock, the Middle East in Cambridge, Harpers Ferry has good blues and rock, the Paradise has good small level touring bands, and there are decent local bands at TT The Bear's, The Church, Revolution Rock bar, the new House of Blues is a solid venue as well.

There are a ton of college bars of course, and lots of upscale lounges and hotel bars where you can meet Milf and Cougars. Bond at Langham Hotel, Market at the W, Eastern Standard, Cuffs, Alibi, the bar at Abe and Louis, Radius - all have active bar scenes. One step down but still good are Coda, Lir, Houstons.

Good Irish pubs include authentic places like Foleys in the South End, Black Rose, Brendan Behan, Druid, The Field. If you like Drum and Bass check out the Phoenix Landing on Thursdays. House at Red Line or Rise on Fridays.

Boston is small, but a lot of fun....you should have a nice time.
