Got an email from mytailor after ordering my first shirt using the "Measure Best Fitting Shirt" method.

Thanks for your order. Please confirm if these are your body or best fitting shirt sizes. The sizes seem a little small for your “best fitting shirt” unless you want the shirt to fit like a glove or very tapered and close to the skin.

I'm 177cm tall (approx 5' 10")
athletic build 80kg
I take a 38 regular jacket and 32 trouser

My measurements are as follows, does this seem to reflect an error in my measurement or simply mytailor's interpretation of what should be a good shirt fit?

Measurements in cm

Neck \t37
Chest \t52
Waist \t45
Hip \t47
Shoulder \t46
Left shoulder + Left Sleeve\t84(23+61)
Right shoulder + Right Sleeve\t84(23+61)
Short \t
Length\t32.25
Left Cuff\t25
Right Cuff\t24

Using your example, your chest measurement is 52 cm which is 20.5 inches.

You scewed up somewhere buddy.

Read the measurement directions again because it looks like you measured across your chest perhaps rather than around. However, that would make it approximately 41" and then you wouldn't be a 38 jacket.

I didn't bother checking your other measurements.

I think those measurements represent his shirt size, which 20.5" across is ok.

14.5" neck seems small too.

I dont know, for 80kg that must be a TIGHT fitting shirt.

Did you measure a SHIRT that fit you well, or your body?

I think you may have gone a bit wrong with the length measurement too, 32.25cm is less than 13 inches long

Maybe you meant 32.25inches?
